A Coaching Tip from Your Region!

Hello SW Region!

Are You Asking Questions Your Community Actually Wants to Answer?

If you want more engagement on social media, you don’t always need to post another market update.

Sometimes, the easiest way to get people talking is to ask about something they already have an opinion about: their community.

Think about the local coffee shop everyone loves, the best tacos in town, a favorite neighborhood, or that one road everyone has an opinion about.

Instead of simply sharing information, try asking questions that invite people to share their own experiences and opinions.

Try These Hyperlocal Questions

🏡 About Their Story

What made you want to live in your neighborhood?

What’s the first thing you tell people about living in your city?

What’s something about your city you didn’t expect to love?

Where do you always take out-of-town guests?

📍 Local Pride

Best tacos, coffee, or pizza in town. Go!

What’s the most underrated spot in your city?

What do people from outside your city get wrong about it?

Which neighborhood has the best community events?

🤔 Pick One

Downtown or closer to the lake?

Old home with character or new build with less maintenance?

Big yard or shorter commute?

Walkable neighborhood or bigger garage?

🏗️ What’s Happening Locally

What should go in that empty lot on [street]?

What local improvement would you love to see next?

What new business would you love to see in your neighborhood?

The goal isn’t to create the perfect question. It’s to start a conversation about something people already care about.

💡This Week’s Challenge

Pick one hyperlocal question and post it.

Try saying it on camera, adding it as a text overlay, and putting the same question in your caption. Then watch what happens in the comments.

The market doesn’t always spark conversation, but people usually have something to say about their neighborhood.

Hello SW Region!

What Is Your Social Media Actually Saying About You?

Most real estate social media looks the same: market updates, new listings, just sold posts, and the occasional closing photo.

That content has a place, but it doesn’t always give people a reason to remember you.

Your social media is an opportunity to help people get to know how you think, what you care about, and who you are beyond your production.

Try These 3 Simple Shifts:

💭 SHOW YOUR THINKING

Don’t just share what happened in the market. Share what you think it means for your clients. Give your perspective on what buyers and sellers should know right now.

❤️ SHOW YOUR VALUES
What matters to you? Maybe it’s helping first-time buyers, serving your community, working with families, or helping investors. Be specific about the people you care about serving.

👋 SHOW YOUR PERSON
Let people see the person behind the business. Share the book you’re reading, a neighborhood you visited, a client win that made your week, or a moment that reminded you why you love what you do.

You don’t have to post more. Just make more of what you post about you.

People hire people. Give them a person to hire.

💡This Week’s Challenge

Create one social media post that shows YOU.

Share a story, thought, or moment that feels authentic to you and gives your audience a chance to connect with the person behind the business.

Keep it simple. Be yourself.

Hello SW Region!

Are You Showing Up as Yourself?

It’s easy to blend in when the market feels uncertain. You may find yourself posting less, playing it safe, or sharing the same things everyone else is sharing.

But your biggest advantage is you.

Take a few minutes to step back and think about how you’re showing up, both online and in your business.

🤔 Take a Moment to Reflect

Ask yourself:

What three words would the people who know me best use to describe how I show up?

When someone finds my social media today, do they feel like they know me, or do I look like everyone else?

Am I going quiet or going generic in this market? What would it look like to choose neither?

What do I actually believe about real estate that I have never said out loud publicly?

Is what I post aligned with who I actually am?

And one more question to consider:

If someone met me online before meeting me in person, would they get an accurate picture of who I am?

Your goal isn’t to post more. It’s to make sure what you do share feels genuine, intentional, and true to you.

If this tip helps, feel free to reply. We’d love to hear from you! 😊
