A Coaching Tip from Your Region!

Hello SW Region!

Ever feel like creating content is the first thing to fall off your schedule when real estate gets busy?

The key to staying consistent isn’t finding more time. It’s building a system that works even when your calendar is full.

Here are six ways to make content creation more manageable:

1️⃣ Never plan and film on the same day.

Planning and filming require different kinds of focus. Set aside separate time for each so you can prepare your ideas first and focus on filming when you’re ready.

2️⃣ Run a two-week rotating cycle on your calendar.

Dedicate one week to planning and the next to filming. Add both to your calendar as recurring appointments to help keep content creation a priority.

3️⃣ Use a four-bucket content system to kill the blank page.

Choose four content categories to rotate through, such as local market updates, home-buying tips, community highlights, and personal insights. This keeps your content varied and makes it easier to decide what to create next.

4️⃣ Give planning one focused hour per video.

Use that hour to research your topic, develop your ideas, and prepare your script. AI tools can help you brainstorm topics, organize your thoughts, and sharpen your video titles.

5️⃣ Batch two videos at a time, and if you can’t, film one.

When possible, film two videos in one session to build a small content library. If you only have time for one, that’s still progress. One video in the pipeline is better than none.

6️⃣ Make your editor handoff frictionless.

Keep your video footage, scripts, and editing notes together in one dedicated folder. Staying organized makes editing easier and helps you get your content ready to publish.

💡This Week’s Challenge

Look at your calendar this week. Can you block time to plan your next video and another session to film it? Start small, stay consistent, and build a routine you can maintain.

“The schedule that works is the one you’ll actually keep. Protect the blocks, and let discipline carry you when motivation doesn’t.”

October 2026 Southwest Region Spotlight

A Coaching Tip from Your Region!

Hello SW Region!

🎃 October Is Full of Content Ideas

Need something to post this month?

October gives you plenty of opportunities to create fun, timely content without always talking about real estate. From spooky stories and local events to sports, food, and seasonal conversations, there are plenty of ways to keep your content fresh.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

👻 1. Creepy Findings on Your Real Estate Journey
Share the strangest, funniest, or most unexpected things you’ve encountered during showings or throughout your real estate career.

🕯️ 2. Haunted Hyper-Local

What are the spooky places or local legends in your area? Share a haunted hotel, historic home, old building, restaurant, or local ghost story.

🏘️ 3. Halloween Neighborhoods
Highlight neighborhoods that go all out for Halloween. Talk about decorations, trick-or-treating, walkability, parking, or anything families would want to know.

🎃 4. Pumpkin Content
Share your favorite places to get pumpkins, host a pumpkin giveaway, or surprise past clients with pumpkins.

🏠 5. Should Sellers Decorate for Halloween?
Give your opinion. Can seasonal decorations make a home feel warm and inviting, or can too much Halloween décor become distracting during showings?

👻 6. Local Halloween Events Guide
Put together a list of local pumpkin patches, haunted houses, fall festivals, parades, trick-or-treat events, or other October activities.

🍬 7. Candy Rankings
Have some fun. Rank your favorite Halloween candies and let your audience debate your choices in the comments.

😱 8. Tell Your Real Estate Horror Stories
Share a memorable deal that went sideways, a strange showing experience, or another real estate story that still makes you cringe.

🍂 9. The Perfect Fall Weekend in Your City
Create a simple itinerary featuring your favorite coffee shop, farmers market, local event, restaurant, or other spots that make for a great fall day.

🏈 10. Sports, Food & Fun
Football, local sports, and seasonal events all give you easy opportunities to highlight local businesses and share a little more of your personality.

Fake Holidays = Easy Content Hooks
You don’t have to wait for a major holiday to create timely content. These fun October dates can give you an easy reason to post:

🍰 October 14: National Dessert Day
Rank the best dessert spots in your area or share your personal favorite.

🍝 October 17: National Pasta Day
Highlight a favorite Italian restaurant, rank the best pasta in your market, or ask your audience where they go for the best pasta.

🎃 October 31: Halloween
Go all in. Share a costume, decorate your office, highlight local Halloween events, feature a neighborhood, or simply have some fun with your audience.

💡This Week’s Challenge

Your October content calendar just got a whole lot easier. Pick an idea, make it your own, and get posting!

Make it local. Add your personality. And give your audience something they can actually engage with.

The best content doesn’t always have to educate people about real estate. Sometimes, it’s simply about showing people who you are and what you know about the community you serve.
